Clinton Community Council sponsors an Island County Candidate Forum The purpose of these Candidate Forums is to give citizens an opportunity to listen to local candidates in-person (the Forum will not be Zoomed) as they discuss issues that are important to the Clinton and South Whidbey community. The Forum will follow a nonpartisan, unbiased and impartial format. Island County Candidate Forum July 7, 2026 Clinton Community Hall 6411 Central Ave Clinton 98236 6:30PM to 8:30PM - Doors open at 6:00PM Candidates Participating in this Forum: Legislative District 10 State Representative Position 1: Clyde Shavers (I) (Democrat) Robert "Chili" Hicks (Republican)L Legislative District 10 State Representative Position 2: Dave Paul (I) (Democrat) Tim Hazelo (Republican) Carrie R. Kennedy (Republican) County Auditor: Sheilah Crider (I) (Independent) Andrea Downs (Democrat) Terry Lacey (No Party Preference) Questions were solicited from the community prior to July 1st. No questions will be taken from the audience during the forums. There’ll be a Meet & Greet after the Forum.
