Move It On Over: Songs and Stories of Hank Williams
About This Event
<p>Set against the backdrop of New Year’s Eve, 1952—when a frail and determined 29-year-old Hank Williams set out on a fateful journey from Alabama to Ohio-<em>"Move It On Over" </em>explores the mystery of that final road trip while tracing the singer's early life and musical rise. </p> <p>In this one-man show, acclaimed folksinger, storyteller, and music historian Joel Underwood—who has already wowed Freeland audiences with his performances of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan—returns with a heartfelt tribute to another American legend. With warmth, wit, and authenticity, Underwood renders beloved classics like <em>“Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Hey Good Lookin’,” </em>and<em> “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” </em>inviting the audience to sing along and remember. Sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking,<em> Move It On Over </em>captures the spirit of Hank Williams and the soul of American country music in a way that is both powerful and personal.</p> <p><br><a href="https://www.sno-isle.org/contact-us/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Contact us with questions</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.sno-isle.org/faq/programs-events/?_ga=2.117964937.1624198399.1690305271-856902110.1690305271&_gl=1*1ooagxo*_ga*ODU2OTAyMTEwLjE2OTAzMDUyNzE.*_ga_G99DMMNG39*MTY5MDMwNTI3MS4xLjEuMTY5MDMwNjk1Mi4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank">Programs & Events FAQs</a><br></p> <p>To <strong><a href="https://askus.sno-isle.org/widget_standalone.php?la_widget_id=15536" target="_blank">request a sign language interpreter</a></strong>, complete this <a href="https://askus.sno-isle.org/widget_standalone.php?la_widget_id=15536" target="_blank">online form</a> or <a href="https://sno-isle.bibliocommons.com/locations/?_ga=2.167347966.1741286699.1659972435-363119640.1615934079&ct=YTo1OntzOjY6InNvdXJjZSI7YToyOntpOjA7czo1OiJlbWFpbCI7aToxO2k6ODI7fXM6NToiZW1haWwiO2k6ODI7czo0OiJzdGF0IjtzOjIyOiI2MmYyYjM2ODUwZDU5Nzc3MzEyMTQ5IjtzOjQ6ImxlYWQiO3M6NjoiMzc4MDk1IjtzOjc6ImNoYW5uZWwiO2E6MTp7czo1OiJlbWFpbCI7aTo4Mjt9fQ%3D%3D" target="_blank" title="https://sno-isle.bibliocommons.com/locations/?_ga=2.167347966.1741286699.1659972435-363119640.1615934079&ct=yto1ontzojy6innvdxjjzsi7ytoyontpoja7czo1oijlbwfpbci7atoxo2k6odi7fxm6ntoizw1hawwio2k6odi7czo0oijzdgf0ijtzojiyoii2mmyyyjm2oduwzdu5nzc3mzeymtq5ijtzojq">contact your local library</a> at least two weeks prior to the library event.
