Movie Matinee: My Octopus Teacher
About This Event
<p>Join us for a community screening of the award-winning documentary My Octopus Teacher.</p> <p>My Octopus Teacher follows the story of the year filmmaker Craig Foster forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest, learning as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. This beautiful record of an animal’s entire life—something seldom achieved in the wild, let alone underwater—was shot over a full year and explores the habits and personality of a strange, undulating creature that most of us have only ever eaten.</p> <p>Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring other snacks or cushions to make your movie experience more comfortable.</p><p><a data-interception="off" href="https://www.sno-isle.org/contact-us/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Contact us with questions</a></p> <p><a href="https://www.sno-isle.org/faq/programs-events/" target="_blank" data-interception="off">Programs & Events FAQs</a></p> <p>To <a href="https://askus.sno-isle.org/widget_standalone.php?la_widget_id=15536" target="_blank" data-interception="off"><strong>request a sign language interpreter</strong></a>, complete this <a href="https://askus.sno-isle.org/widget_standalone.php?la_widget_id=15536" target="_blank" data-interception="off">online form</a> or <a href="https://sno-isle.bibliocommons.com/locations/?_ga=2.167347966.1741286699.1659972435-363119640.1615934079&ct=YTo1OntzOjY6InNvdXJjZSI7YToyOntpOjA7czo1OiJlbWFpbCI7aToxO2k6ODI7fXM6NToiZW1haWwiO2k6ODI7czo0OiJzdGF0IjtzOjIyOiI2MmYyYjM2ODUwZDU5Nzc3MzEyMTQ5IjtzOjQ6ImxlYWQiO3M6NjoiMzc4MDk1IjtzOjc6ImNoYW5uZWwiO2E6MTp7czo1OiJlbWFpbCI7aTo4Mjt9fQ%3D%3D" target="_blank" data-interception="off" title="https://sno-isle.bibliocommons.com/locations/?_ga=2.167347966.1741286699.1659972435-363119640.1615934079&ct=yto1ontzojy6innvdxjjzsi7ytoyontpoja7czo1oijlbwfpbci7atoxo2k6odi7fxm6ntoizw1hawwio2k6odi7czo0oijzdgf0ijtzojiyoii2mmyyyjm2oduwzdu5nzc3mzeymtq5ijtzojq">contact your local library</a> at least two weeks prior to the library event.
