Halloween Concert - Carnival of Curiosities with Squaawke!
About This Event
SQUAAWKE LIVE — HALLOWEEN NIGHT ENCORE Original psychedelic techno • experimental electronic opera • industrial madness This Halloween, SQUAAWKE brings an evening of entirely original electronic music to Bayview Community Hall on Whidbey Island. Expect hypnotic psytrance, dark industrial rhythms, acid synthesizers, gothic electronics, experimental soundscapes, and the occasional descent into full-blown psychedelic opera madness. Behind SQUAAWKE is Craig Ellenwood, musician, producer, video artist and creative technologist. His history includes founding the music and sound camp element of Burning Man in 1992; performing and creating video art with Psychic TV; participating in the early Goa psychedelic trance scene; producing music and performing alongside Dr. Timothy Leary. He released three albums in one week, including Gerlach Isn't Real, inspired by his experiences at early Burning Man. This is not a DJ set of other people’s records. Every track is original SQUAAWKE music. Come for the Halloween carnival. Stay for the sonic resurrection.
